Zoltan is a forestry technician, landscape architect and urban forestry expert with specific interest in management of wilderness protected areas. He has over 25 years of experience with the identification and management of wilderness areas through working earlier at PAN Parks Foundation, European Wilderness Society and currently at Wild Europe Foundation. Zoltan has focused his work on European policy with special interest on forest and wetlands. He has worked with various organisations like IUCN, WWF and also research institution throughout the continent. He is also member of two IUCN’s Commissions: World Commission on Protected Areas and Commission on Ecosystem Management. He is member of the Primary Forest Task Team and the Rewilding Working Group and contributes to the Wilderness Specialist, the Transboundary PAs and Tourism Specialist groups. Outside of work he enjoys walking, trekking and swimming.
